








Rising like a shimmering “pillar of water” on Ginza’s vibrant Namiki-dōri corner, Louis Vuitton’s seven-storey flagship pairs a kinetic glass façade by Jun Aoki & Associates with fluid, art-driven interiors by Peter Marino. Twin layers of curved, dichroic glass catch the sky and street in ever-changing iridescent hues, echoing the district’s historic relationship with Tokyo Bay. By night, the rippling surface dissolves into light, giving the building an almost weightless presence.
Inside, Marino extends the water metaphor through sculpted oak and glass staircases, sinuous counters, and softly undulating ceilings. A four-storey feature wall reimagines Kimiko Fujimura’s 1977 painting Wave Blue Line in hand-worked plaster—placing the artist’s rhythmic brushstrokes at the heart of the visitor journey. Furniture by Pierre Paulin, Isamu Noguchi, and Morten Stenbaek introduces vibrant bursts of colour, while curated works by Ed Moses, Vik Muniz, Zhang He, and Fujimura herself bring additional chromatic energy.
Four retail floors present the full women’s and men’s universes, flanked by a revolving pop-in space for seasonal launches. Private VIC and VIP salons occupy the sixth level, and the experience culminates beneath an open skylight at Le Café V, where chef Yosuke Suga debuts Le Chocolat V, Louis Vuitton’s first signature confectionery line.
This dialogue between architecture, art, and craftsmanship marks the Maison’s most immersive Tokyo home to date—and offers a luminous showcase for Kimiko Fujimura’s enduring exploration of colour and movement.
